Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is a day to remember those lost in the war. We celebrate on the important day of November 11.  I went to a Remembrance Day ceremony. There was a moment of silence to remember the family members that died. The poppies are symbols of Remembrance Day. And that is what I think Remembrance Day is all about.

UV Sensors

Ultra Violet Sensors

The animal sensor that I think is the most fascinating is the U.V. sensors. Incredibly, animals with U.V. sensors see ultraviolet light. Humans can’t see ultraviolet light but bees and a few other animals can. Bees use the ultraviolet light to assist them in finding flowers.  U.V. sensors are remarkable.

Thankful

I am thankful for my friends and family. I am thankful for my broken arm being healed . I am thankful for clean water.  God is Almighty, loving and the King of Kings.  Lovingly, he gives us everything we need.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

David

David was courageous and brave because he stood up to Goliath. He went  to the battlegrounds to give his brothers lunch and saw goliath. David went to the king and got armour but did not need the armour.  David took some stones from the near by river and  threw one and Goliath tumbled down.  David was brave because of God.

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

Gold Rush

Gold Rush

The gold rush was discovered in 1858 at Hills Bar. Sometimes miners killed other miners to steal their gold and come by riches.  Greedily, they bet to obtain more gold. They travelled the harsh weather and advanced from all over.  Some people came from Victoria on the S.S. Beaver and then walked or sat on horses all the way to Williams Creek.  It was a time of confusion and greed.

Case for Christ

Chapter 1-Who did this guy say he was?

-Jesus claimed to be God and this got him dead.
-He is the true God because he rose again 3 days later.  People would rather die for the truth than for a lie.

Chapter 2-Was Jesus out of His mind?
-scientists wanted to see if Jesus was crazy.  He compared Jesus and a crazy person.  When he was finished he tried comparing what Jesus did to a hypnotist and he found that Jesus spoke in loud voices when he spoke in public so he wouldn't have been able to hypnotize people and he also did miracles in other cities which he wouldn't have been able to do by hypnotism.  So Jesus wasn't crazy or a hypnotist.

Bob Cats

Bobcat

Bobcats are important mammals.  They are carnivores which means they only eat meat.  They can weigh up to 30 lbs and live for ten to twelve years in the wild.  Effortlessly, Bobcats can leap 12 feet to catch their prey and they can run up to 30 miles an hour.  They live in North America in caves and old trees.  They mark their territories by their smell.  Finally, they are nocturnal and have excellent night vision.  Image result for Bobcat

Melty Beads

I love making melty beads because they are really fun.  I learn to make designs.
The hardest ones were the swords but everything else was easy.

I like this poem because I like Koi.

I liked this play date because I like playing with Finn and I like going to the skate park.

I loved this reptile show because I got to feel the white snake that he's holding.

I sewed my very own sock monkey.  I enjoyed building it because it was easy and I like how big I made the ears.

I liked building this because it was fun and I took a lot of effort.  I am going to put it in Lego magazine.

Here I made different kinds of molecules that are made up of atoms.

I made a time line that went age 9.  I put things on it like the time we moved and my birthdays each year.

I liked this experiment because it was fun and it made the biggest greenish bubble ever.  I learned that oil and dyed water don't mix.

We did an experiment to see if the taller or smaller glass would let the candle burn longer.

This was my third ski lesson of the month.  I like it because we go down different trails.  My favourite trail is Sundance!

My Fable

How The Koi Got Reward.

Once, in Japan, there was a colourful koi.  One day he got caught by a Fisherman.

The Fish said, “What will you do with me?”

“I will sell you!” chuckled the Fisherman.

“I have a better idea. If you let me go, I will gather all the fish in the pond together and tell them to come to this end of the pond.”  Told the smart fish.

“That sounds like a good plan.” Agreed the Fisherman.

So the Fisherman let the fish go. But the fish warned the other fish.  All the fish were free.  Their reward was life.

The moral is never trust a fish.  (The fish represents a stranger)
