Covid 19

COVID was an epidemic virus that hit the world in 2019 and reached its peak sometime in 2020. It stayed stubbornly until near the end of 2021. It affected thousands of families and it is still here during 2023.  I got COVID and I had a stuffy nose, my body ached, I was cold even though I had a temperature and I felt tired.  I just had a mild case but there were cases where people died.

A simple explanation of a vaccine is they inject you with a tiny little bit of the illness so your body can learn how to fight against it.  There were a lot of people who were anti-vac for COVID and also a good amount of vaccinators.  It was a personal choice for people to get it or not.

Viruses

A virus is a germ that when it gets into your body whether it's from air, touch, or food. It has these tiny little points that can only get into certain cells. That might mean you might get a cold but your dog can't. So after it inserts, it tells the cell it tells the brain to reproduce more of the virus. As it reproduces it has a chance to mutate so it can infect different cells. This is how COVID originated from bats but then mutated to be able to affect humans

Epidemics

An endemic is what happens when you have an illness that you most likely get better from. It is always there for you to catch again. It usually is in a certain area of the world where its main contamination is. There are other places in the world that could not even have this sickness

A pandemic is when a disease is uncontrollable and unpredictable. Sometimes a pandemic will only affect people with certain living conditions. Other times it affects everybody

An epidemic is when one illness spreads insanely fast and new cases appear every day. Most of the time there is no vaccine for them. They are always international illnesses epidemics have become more common because nowadays there's a lot more flights and water traffic to other countries

This is my Lego light for our Game Boy colour. Unlike devices nowadays, it does not have a light on the screen, so you need some type of light above it to see the screen. With this, you can play it in the dark.

This is it in the dark.

This is what it looks like

Tires

One day my dad came to us and asked if we wanted to make a lot of money. Of course, I said yes and so did Jordan. Our dad told us that the store he works for, Fresh Co, needed the tires to be retreaded after they took them off the shopping carts. If you were to go to Fresh Co, there would still be tires on the carts because they take the wheels off the carts and replace them with last year's wheels. Basically, Fresh Co has double the amount of wheels that they would need. That way they don't need to wait for the wheels to get treaded. What they do is they take the wheels off the carts and then give them to someone to retread them. Then they take the wheels that they retreaded last year and put those on the cart the same day.

In this first picture Jordan is screwing into the tire.

In this picture you can see Jordan with a screwdriver and a hammer. He is prying off the old rubber part of the tire from the mechanism.
Here I am taking the bolt out that holds the wheel from the part that connects the wheel to it shopping cart

Here is the invoice that we sent to our dad after we completed half of the tires.

Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration

 Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration

Photosynthesis is a process in where plant cell needs energy so they work together by taking the energy from the sun and turning that into a simple type of sugar. Cell respiration is when a plant takes oxygen and mixes it with the energy from the sun to make glucose. A lot of people think that photosynthesis and cell Respiration is quite similar even though they do entirely different jobs

 Prokaryotic and eukaryotic

The difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic is that prokaryotic do not have a nucleus instead,  they have Nucleoid. Eukaryotic is the type of cell that's inside plant and animals

                                                               Cell Theory

Cell theory is a way for scientists to explain cells more easily than having to explain the entire cell organism. The cell theory has three main points. The first main point is cells can only replicate from existing cells. What happens is the existing cell splits in half, creating a second cell.

The next cell theory is that all living organisms are made out of cells, And the final cell theory is that cells are the simplest building blocks of life
